THE RIDE
A long, tough climb out of Eilat with border views.
Road bike or gravel bike. Easy gears or a strong engine help on the long climb.
The climb starts a few minutes from the hotel: a tough incline all the way to the top, then out and back on rolling hills along the top, and a fast descent on the same road back to Eilat. Shahamon to Netafim is 7.6 km at 6.6%, with the steepest part near the top at about 10%.
